I’ve spent over 20 years creating images, from advertising photography for global brands to photographing tens of thousands of professionals at my Chicago headshot studio.
Headio is my latest chapter, an AI headshot platform built around the same details that make a real headshots work, great lighting, posing, wardrobe, expression, skin texture, and likeness.
Headio was built to be fast and easy, but the goal was never to create AI images that simply look impressive.
The goal was to create AI headshots that look real, feel professional, and are something you can actually be proud to use.
My Story
I’ve been a photographer for over 20 years.
I started with Mike Henry Photo, shooting advertising and commercial work for brands like Adidas, McDonald’s, Target, Reebok, Xbox, Old Navy, and Macy’s.
Later, I built Tiny Space Studio, my Chicago headshot studio, where my team and I have photographed thousands of professionals, executives, teams, business owners, and creatives.
After that many headshots, you start to notice what makes a good one work.
It is not just the camera or the lighting, it is all the details put together that create a great shot.
These are the details that I brought into Headio to make it a superior Ai Headshot platform.
A lot of AI headshots are impressive at first glance, but then, with a closer look, they just don't feel real. The wardrobe was strange, the skin looks too smooth, the poses feel off, or the person just doesn't look like themselves.
I knew it could be better.
So I spent over a year building Headio around the same things I care about in my studio, clean lighting, natural posing, realistic skin texture, professional wardrobe, and headshots that feel polished without looking fake.
I still believe there is nothing better than a real studio headshot, but I also know not everyone has the time, budget, location, or schedule to make that happen.
That is where Headio comes in.
It is a faster, easier way to get professional headshots that look realistic, feel like you, and are actually worth using.
